Help with jawfish

I bought a jawfish from swf.com last week and he has seemed to of disappeared. he stayed under a rock for a couple of days and now he is just gone...my tank is covered so i dont think he jumped out and i lifted the rock and he wasnt under there..anyone else have trouble with their jawfish?

He is probably buried under your sand, digging tunnels. I bought one last week from Saltwaterfish.com too. My last one took about a week or so to dig some tunnels and one day he just popped his head up out of the sand.
He could have his hole in the back of your tank where you can't see him. Once he realizes that having his home towards the back of the tank where there is little food floating by, he'll move his home, to where he can get more food.
