it's really hard to tell without a picture....but Kenya tree coral usually drops their limbs and the limbs become trees.... Is it possible you have too much water flow and it's bent over?

Okay...I'm sure it's a typo
, but it's funny anyway....what in the world does shribbled look like? How do you "TURN" a Kenya tree coral so it looks dead and shribbled?

you should really have both lights on. Kenya trees are a lower light coral but they do enjoy light and use it. The blue is atinic 03 so it has a certain spectrum and the white 10k is more like full daylight. If I was able to turn lights on and off and different times you would have the blue turn on for 30 minutes or so before the 10k comes on then the 10k shuts off and 30 minutes later the atinic shuts off. You will need to find a balance for the on time for awhile because you might have some algae growth. The biggest thing we try to do with our artificial lights in replicate the sun and it cycles. This will help.
also as I think flower said the will drop branches to reproduce. The other thing is that leather in general go through a cycle of "wilting" and "shredding" of their skin. They will look unhealthy for a little bit every so often for this to happen.

I really like the last part about "frag themselves".

Yes leathers do that, but I never had a Kenya tree do it. The melting thing is a sign of death, such as high nitrates or some other parameter way off.....if a coral just keeps getting smaller and smaller, it's usually starving, either for light or food.

Do you add any kind of coral food for filter feeders? Folks run their skimmers 24/7 and it removes all the organics from the water...organics, AKA food for filter feeders.
