help with mushroom

For the past several days now I noticed that my mushrroms has defalted in size and there seems to be some white tentacles coming out of the shrooms. As I walk close by to take a quick look, the tentacles started to slowly retract back in. Is this normal? Also how much lighting does shroom requires?

How many do you have, and is it happening to all of them? These "white tentacles" are often extruded during stress (eg if the rock falls over, water quality or something) though you may see a few as the mushroom divides.
How old is your tank?
What are your specific water parameters?
What tank inhabitants do you have?
What kind of lighting do you have (how big is your tank?)

My tank is a 46 G Bowfront. With a Reyna Canister filter, Remora Protein skimmer, and 2 96W PC light. My temp is around 79 degrees. I have clown, goby, coral banded shrimp, hermit crabs, and camel shrimp. My tank is several months old. I bought the super mushroom 3 weeks ago. Now its all deflated and tentacles sticking out. Its still green though, have not lost its color just its size.

Do you add anything to your tank, additive wise? Have you done a recent water change? Do you monitor your pH/alkalinity and calcium? Like anemones, it is not entirely unusual for them to look quite poor and then perk up again.

The only thing that I could think of was the kick ich I added last week. This Sunday I went ahead and did a partial water change and added my charcoal back to my filter. So far thats it. Could it be the temp being as high as 79 degrees? I do check my water and seems to b just fine. I also add marine snow feeder as well as the all in one coral supplements. I also have the mushroom high up. Do I need to lower it down so its not getting a lot of lighting?

Heck no, its not the temp. 79 is probably pretty low for many of us, LOL. Could be the medication if there is some correlation with that. So is it just one shroom? Do you have a picture of it?

My other shroom does seems to b affected although this is a different type of shroom. I will try to get a pic of it and see if I can post it. If not do U have an email add so I could forward the pic to u.
