Help with mystery fish!

I'm trying to determine what type of fish I saw at the science center. It looked like it had eyeliner drawn in swirls on its face, and it appeared to have 2 small teeth (upper)-also spent a lot of time flinging sand around in the bottom of the aquarium. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, I don't have a pic, and it's not a red coris, but thanks for your suggestion! The body was light, almost white, in fact. I've emailed the science center, but so far I've received no reply.
