Hello all,
My tank is in the cycling process 6 week in.
My ammonia was terrible for a while.
I brought my sample to the lfs last week.
Ammonia was zero
Nitrates were up
Nitrites were ok
PH is a little low.
So the lfs said to clean my sponges out, do a 5 gal water change and add buffer
The next day I checked my water, ammonia still zero, nitrates about 0
Nitrites about 2.0
Is this normal?
I have a 24 gallon Nano cube with 27 lbs of Live rock
No fish or anything else yet
Should I do anything to control the nitrites?
I have the sponges in one, the bio balls and ceramic rings and carbon bag in the other
