Hi, I need to pump water from my basement straight up through the floor into my tank about 12ft. Doesnt have to pump real fast just enough for water changes Thanks Mike:D

you could do that... or do it the labor intensive way and use buckets, if you have kids.. thats that their there for =), my dad forces me to do all the heavy lifting
a quote from him, "who helped you pay for your tank? now go clean the tank!" can argue there

Mike,
Maybe look into:
Little Giant 4-MDQ-SC
640 gph at 12 feet head
Maximum shut off at 24 feet head
$124.00 online

A friend does something similar to what you want to do. Not sure exactly how far he is pumping the water...it has to go up through the floor and then over about 8 feet. I know it is an external type pump, and think it may be an Iwaki. A BIG Iwaki. I'll double check and let you know what he uses. I think the one Broomer mentioned is also external. Look it up. Probably close to the same price as a Mag9.
