First post and it is a help question. I recently purchased a Red Sea Prizim Protein skimmer. The skimmer portion of the device keeps filling up with water, and then seeping out onto my floor. I know the system is supposed to be a "dry" action skimmer, but I can not keep the water out of the Skimmer overflow. Please help!! :help:

I think those have a tube that goes to the skim holder on top. Make sure once it is primed the the tube is switched to the other little tab up there. After that, there should be a flow control on the intake, just manipulate that until you see no microbubles in the water. Just watch it and adjust it. It takes a few minor adjustments to get those dialed in. If its a new tank you may see very little skimate at first but once it matures it should pick up. Cheers.

Thanks for the help. It does have the tube you are talking about. I asked the LFS and they said to tie a not in the hose because you might be getting to much air. Any truth to this?

That doesn't sound right but maybe???

If its on the the little peg to the right then its where the manufacture says it should be with no knots, but it does have to prime on the left one and then be switched over.
