Help with Ro system output ratio

I was wondering what my waste water to di water ratio should be on my unit. It is an Aqua Safe Systems unit I have pictures of it. My tap water tds is about 348. The Ro water feeding into the di filter has a tds reading of 13-14. But my di water comes out still reading 7-8 every time. When I first purchased it I had the same issues, so I called aquaticreefsystems and they advised me to remove the backflow valve and put in its place the cutoff switch, by adjusting the cut off valve just right, I was able to get the tds reading to 0. I had to move the system and now I cannot figure this out. Please help.

On my Aquasafe it's rougly 3:1 I checked that by using two one gallon buckets. When the wastewater bucket was full, the ro bucket was aproximately 1/3rd full (give or take a bit).

I know on my Typhoon unit I get about 3-4:1 gallons of wasteure water with optimum conditions. This ratio can be affectd though by things such as input water temp, water pressure, etc. HTH
