Help with underwater camera lens..

Hi!
I want an opinion on this..
I have a Nikon D50 dSLR with an IKELITE underwater housing..
My friend recomended I buy the NIKOR 17-55 MM lens, as it is a good wide angle and Macro
Anyone agree? Disagree?
I was also told to buy an 8.5 or 10mm fisheye.. But that wont be any help with Macro photos..
