Help with water levels

I am planning on doing a water change tomorrow. My nitrates are higher than they have been, as well as ammonia and nitrites. I feel it is do to the addition of the trigger 9 days ago. When doing a water change should I use the just change water or use the gravel cleaner as well.

you should have waited for the cycle to finish before adding the trigger. triggers are almost indestructable but it will definately stress him out a little. i really wouldn't do a change until you finish the cycle. it could make your cycle last even longer.

Well, to start, I would get a bigger tank to keep that Trigger. And, given that your tank is still cycling, I would allow it some more time before messing with it -- what did you initiate the cycle with?
