I have a melanurus wrasse right now in a 75 gallon tank all my conditions are fine everything in tank is fine and i was thinking of getting a radiant wrasse as well. I have a pair of clownfish occ. yellow tang abot 1 1/2 to 2 inches long inverts and 3 clams.

They should be fine together. You might have an issue with the Radiant picking on inverts, especially shrimp as it matures.

OK that's what I thought but my lfs which I trust and have been right up to now said that they wont because a 75 is to small and because the wrasses are of the same species. I have also researched myself and a lot of people do it in a 90 and a 90 is only higher right? So then I wouldnt see a problem.

You could end up with aggression either way you go. The Melanarus is usually the more timid, so it's a plus that you've added that one first. The Mystery Wrasse might be a better option, but both can be aggressive as they mature. I'd try to find a Radiant or a Mystery that is as small as possible. My mystery wrasse was a big sissy and got chased around by a sixline wrasse half his size.

Please can anyone give me an input on how they think a mystery wrasse would be with a melanurus wrasse which is 3.5 inch to 4 inch ,with a pair of occ. clownfish, and a yellow tang at 2 inch.
Like if I get about a 1.5 to 2 inch mystery wrasse would be mainly with the melanurus. I mean they don't look that alike and they are of different genus so shouldn't that help?

I believe T.L. gave you your answer.
You could rearrange your live rock, acclimate at night with lights off and release and hold your breath, Should be good to go. You may see some bickering but it should let up shortly.

I really like the way my rock is set up and I am always afraid of crushing something or damaging a coral or clam and then have to find new places for all of that so do you think I should turn off the lights let the melanurus go into the sand and then put him in?

So basically what I am trying to say is do you think they would fight so much to lead to death or just a nip here and there. Also mystery wrasses generally dont eat giant clams right like maximas and corceas.

Mystery wrasse should be fine with clams. They're really only an issue to ornamental shrimp, but if the fish grow up around the shrimp, they usually leave them alone.
You should be fine. There might be some nipping, but they should not fight to the death.

Should be okay. I'd see if they could possibly order one that's smaller, but I wouldn't stress about it too much.

Happy holidays everyone. I added the mystery wrasse and the melanurus has been biting him in his anal spot like the dot on the back and the mystery is eating and moving fine and everything I am just wondering does anyone think I should take action or is the melanurus still claiming his home. Please get back to me as soon as possible.

He has no territory he just seems to like to pick on the mystery where ever he is. Also the mystery has only been in the tank for 1 1/2 days so could that be the issue i mean the mystery is still swimming fine and still eating, oh also he like bites the top of the water. I put in zoo plankton and copeopods so could that be it( I put them in the refugium).
