I got 1st anemone on Monday. Today it was open and looked good. Now all closed up. Please advise.

doesnt look healthy ime. did u take that pic right when lights came on, maybe he was closed up for the night, or expelling waste

Lights were on for a few hours. How do you know if he is expelling waste. I do see some type of brown thing in the middle.
PS i have a 46 gallon tank. water ok, 96 watt 10,000 white and
actunic 96 watt

what kind of anemone is that and how long has the tank been set up?

Your anemone looks very stressed but not deteriorating yet.
I suggest you post all water paramiters, include temp, ph and calcium and alkalinity.
How did you acclimate the anemone?
I would further suggest that you get it away from the intake to your filter, or raise the intake so it is not so close to the bottom.
My first guess is that it is suffering from acclimation shock, it looks tight, stressed but not dieing.

One more question other than the above post.
That's not a yellow sebae is it? I hope not.

Have the clowns been trying to rub in the anemone? If they have they could be stressing it out before it gets settled. Also, how far above your tank are those lights, and how deep is the tank? Did you acclemate the anemone?

All looks much better. He was getting rid of waste. He is wide open and looks good now. I will post picture later.

Heu Paul! what do u feed to ur anemone? i got to of those, two weeks old in my tank. I really need to know. The salesman in the store told me no need to feed them. Calcium is alright.
