Can someone help me? my leather is turning white why? Is it dying or is it being sting by the gsp? What should I do to help it? :help:

something is wrong with it.....
do the gsp's touch it when opened?? if they do then yeah they will sting it.... my gsp's stung my colt coral pretty bad i had to move it away..... hows the lighting?? water???
i really cant answer y its white but thats not usually not a good sign

are you sure it s leather coral?
they tend to have flat tops, yours looks more like a finger IMO
but yes it does look like there's something wrong with it. list all your parameters and tank specs

Yes it is a finger leather. All my water parameters are ok, I do a 10% water change every week. Lights are around 2 months old.

what kind of lights do you have? and what is the total wattage?
how big is your tank and how old is it? just tell us any information you consider important.

just a farfetched possibility, but did you add the lather really recently? maybe then it is being bleached especialy if its not all the way on the bottom. my suggestion then is to move it to a less intense lighting spot and give it a little bit of time

Tank is about one years old. Had the coral for about four months. I will move away from gps and lower in the tank.

leathers have mood swings. give it a few days undisturbed and see if it opens up but make shure it is in a good flow and not getting zapped by other corals.
