"Normal" doesn't help. We need to know your exact water parameters nitrites, nitrates, ammonia, ph, alk, calcium, sg, and temp.

i take it you have a pulsing xenia and kenya tree a d other unidentified coral..
the tree and xenia are pretty hardy just kind of touchy( some people can and some people cant keep them..) i;d figure out it's the water or the lighting

:scared: :scared: :scared: 1.23sg is killer :scared: :scared: 1.024

you got the tank in febuary, how old where the lights before that?
Lights should be replaced every 6 months , unless ofcourse you can purchase a device to test the light spectrum! Mucho Denerio!
Btw some pics would help to see what you have

thanks thats what i ment my gravity is 1.023, i always forget the 0. lights are good i think how would i know if they just freaked out on me, they still come on like normal and were new bulbs in march, they are on a timer, and seem to be running smooth. would bad lighting kill corals in 18 hours or less?

Check your phosphate level. That may be the problem. I would also bump up the SG to 1.025. When was the last time you did a water change? Your trace elements may be in decline and need a boost. New bulbs in march should be fine. Just remember to change them out when the time comes, depending on what lights they are.
Could anything have infected the tank? Don't spray air freshteners around the tank or maybe something on your hands. try and keep as polutant free as possible.....

I have had great sucess with my kenya's. Actualy I can't get ride of htem fast enough now...but thats another story. They replicate SO fast in my tank there almost a nucence, but great on getting me store credit.
I keep my sg at 1.025, temp in my tank runs a but warm at 79-80. I have them about half way up on my rock work in a low to medium flow area, with a horizontal flow. They do get pissy when the ph has a problem. defintaly check that that usualy the suspect when I see mine looking a little down. They like ph around 8.4, and if the ph reaches 8-7.8 they really get pissed off and die.
Hope that helps out.
