I need to know I raised the temp to 83 in my tank to help cure ick this was yesterday how long should I do that for

now this may be a stupid question. Maybe someone who has a lot of expeirence(sp) with SWF told you this......BUT what is rasiing the temp going to do for you getting rid of ick? this is the first time ive heard something like that

now ive heard of that in fresh water but it dose not work they say by geting a higher temp it kills it because it cant live in high temps but im almost sure you have to have a temp over 100f to kill it

I read it a couple of places on a couple of different websites that ick parisites take longer to die in temps that are colder like 78 but if u raise they said that it helps move the process along in the death quicker also they mentioned using salt without iodine to help eleminate it too they had how many tablespoons per gallon I cant recall but by me changing the temp in one day I did show results but I also have been using garlic extract heavily during feeding too.
