How did fish die

How long did they last? Did you acclimate they properly before putting them in your tank? Could you have possible infected the tank with some household item?

Sounds to me like a acclaimation issue! Your water and the LFS water is probably very different. Fish will last a while but it will catch up in the end.
Always drip always. Teresa is right just vinegar.

I tend to disagree, especially where damsels are concerned.
The fact that the inverts are alive tends to make me think disease. Did the fish have any symptoms?

I am leaning away from windex being the cause and more toward a disease or an ammonia spike from a mini cycle. Regardless, if you had ick in the tank you will want to leae it fish free for 6-8 week to allow the ick to run it life cycle and die off. I would also raise salinity to 1.025. IMO

White slime doesn't' sound like ich... White slime on the fish also doesn't sound good. Tell us more.

the white slime was a coating over the yellow tangs eyes the other fish had white looking bubbles on them i also noticed a ton of little microscopic bugs crawling on my glass rocks and in the sand dont know if that had anything do do with it i have no traces of ammonia and all inverts are dong great and i have to clown fish inther that dont seem to have any problems if it was ick will it life cycle by itself because i dont want to add anything to the water thanks

If it is ich then the life cycle will continue as long as you have fish in the tank.
To get rid of ich the tank must be fish free for 4 weeks. Usually that is long enough.

No chemicals. The life cycle of ich has a phase where the parasite must life on a vert. Remove the fish and the life cycle can't be completed; usually. There are written accounts, however, of cysts lying in stasis for months, although this seems really rare.
Inverts are fine.
Bugs probably =pods. Look in the hitchhiker section. Pods are food for your fish, nothing to worry about.

Pods are normal and a good thing. They'll decrease after ou get fish. Lot's of fish eat them.
