I have a 100 tank. Ex son in law was keeping it clean. Hes gone now.It has a 50 galon on bottom as a filter tank has live sand in it. What is this called? My top tank is getting it looks like silt on rocks. When fish swin by in goes into water then settles back.How do i clean this?I have to power points with allige balls? They are not cleaning very well.Can some one maybe email me and help. I only have 8 fish. marfowler@msn.com. Thank You.

Are there hermit crabs or snails? How often do you chang the water?

is the skimmer working and when did you do a partial water change?the bottom tank is a sump or fuge.where do you get your water to place in your tank that evaporates?
