OK, here's what I have. My 2 false percs have been acting strange the last 2 days. They have been really sluggish, and they have been hanging out in the back of the tank, behind the rock, swimming very slowly, like they do when they are sleeping. Its a 30 gal tank, and my levels are 8.2 pH, 0 amm/trites, 10-20 trates, 1.024 SG. I'm going to do a water change, and see if that helps. Anybody have any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks.

How long has this tank been set up? How long have you had the clowns? Are they eating? Do you notice anything on their bodies?

Tank has been set up since the start of the year. Clowns have been in for about a month and a week. They ate yesterday, just finished a 20% water change, so once things settle a bit, I'll try feeding again. I can't find anything (spots, etc.) on their bodies.

Actually, I take back my last post. I just fed them, and I noticed a small grayish patch on the back portion of the tail on the smaller one, and 2 very small light spots on the body as well. He is also the most lethargic. Ich?

I hope not im not sure about the gray patch but the white dots are most likely ich. Hopefully the cleaner will help you out you'll have to watch them carefully and since it is only the 2 clowns you could treat them in a seperate small tank. There are several ways to try to treat the ich and most people on here recommend the hyposalinity you can find out alot about it on here to learn about it if your not familiar with it. I lost all my fish in a 150 from ich and it was not good. I hope all the best for you and hope you can beat this.

Anybody ever heard of/used "Ruby Reef Kick Ick"? I heard this might be a way to go to treat ick w/o doing a QT...

Do you actually see ich spots on the fish? Kick ich will help keep some of the parasites off of the fish, but it will not remove ich from your tank.

I thought I did. He died yesterday, and was eaten throughout the night by the cleaners. Not sure exactly what ich looks like, but he had several small white spots near his tail. I'm keeping an eye on the other clown, but nothing yet. Shouldn't he have shown symptoms by now?

Not necessarily. He is in better health than the other one was. I would not add anything to this tank until you find out what is going on in there.

Right. I'm going to treat the tank with Ruby Reef Kick Ich, and keep an eye on the clown before adding anything else. Thanks
