will it be ok to run the flat worms over with a mag float?
imo that wont kill them if thats what your hoping.. it will spread them more into your rocks which then you will have more problems with.

Anyone know of another way to get rid of these? I added a sixline but he hasnt touched them. I have tried siphoning them out but the siphon wont even suck them up.

I def recommend the FW Exit. But first, do the flashlight trick. Put a decent size piece of rock in there near the front of the tank. I used dead rock. With the lights out, point a light where it only shines on that rock. The fw will be attracted to the light. 30 minutes later, take out the rock and swish it around in fresh water. FW seem to be intolerant of fresh water.
The worry with fw's is when they die they release toxins, so getting a lot of them out of the tank first is a big deal imo. HTH

thanks I will try this. If I use a piece of LR with it become dead rock after I dip it in freshwater? It would be safe to put that pice of rock back in my tank right?

also if I do try the flatworm exit would running carbon and doing weekly water changes help keep the toxin level down if I cant siphon all of them out?

ya but you want to get any flat worms off of your corals or they can kill them when they die.

i'm not sure that that's true. i think they release toxins into the water column. it's not a targeted thing, depending on where in the tank they die.
i know people who have used flatworm exit and have had major issues. i still suggest against it. again, i recently had GAZILLIONS of them all over the place, and now i can't find a single one.

and you did this by getting rid of your pod population? They are by no means "smothering" anything in my tank so I wouldnt say they are out of hand but they are spreading. They are mostly on the front glass. What other ways are there to get rid of pods besides getting a certain fish to eat them? And I just got some chaeto today so I am guessing that wouldnt help.

the pods are breeding. the only thing in a healthy tank that will slow the growth of the pod population is a carnivore that preys on them. your 6 line wrasse is eating them if you are not feeding it.
i don't know why a mandarin was such a bad choice for your tank. you have plenty of live rock.

I didn't realize you could have to many pods. I have had my 75gal. for almost 9 months. Is it an old enough tank for a mandarin. I do not have a fuge, but I do have a sump. I have some piles of rock rubble in my sump. I would like to rid my flatworms without chemicals, I think I would like to try the mandarin first. Just don't want him to starve down the road.

Yes you will kill off a lot of the micro life on that piece of rock. That was why I choose to use dead rock, so it doesn't have to go back in the tank.If you are going to put it back in, you should rinse it with saltwater first.

Yes, you definitely want to run carbon and maybe do an extra WC.
BTW, What size tank?
