Help......

I purchased a frag of xenia Thursday evening from a local reefer. It seemed fine until yesterday afternoon. The flesh has receded back and now it that pieces falling off it. What went wrong. I have 11 other corals all fine. My water is fine. Help....

Could be RTN (rapid tissue necrosis) Like the above said. Xenia are hit and miss. I recently added some Xenia to my mixed reef (sps/lps) with 470 CA2. They haven't been in the tank long enough for a definative answer on the calcium statement.

not true. i hv mine exploding in my reef with sps and clams. i also hv xenia going nuts in my fowlr with just 2 t5 light bulbs. it really depends on the type of xenia.

Xenia sometimes works like Zoaaaaaaaaaaaaas. If they don't like where they are, they might drop a few heads and just start pulsing somewhere else. Is it the entire stalk, like all the way to the base? Or is it just kind of like the ends?
