I got this little article from Animal World.....
The Golden-headed Sleeper Goby, Blueband Goby, or Pennant Glider are moderately difficult to keep, considered good for a more experienced aquarist with a larger system, where they can find plenty to eat.
Like other members of the Valenciennea species, they feed by taking up mouthfuls of sand and pass it through their gill covers to extract small crustaceans, worms and algae. It is important that they have a sufficient amount of "live" sand for them to sift through.
Maintenance/Foods:
A typical goby, they eat small crustaceans and other small marine organisms. Live brine and a high protein krill are ideal for the aquarium.

Yeah... these fish won't usually eat offered foods. Once he completely wipes out everything living in your sandbed, he might start eating offered foods... he might not. I had one once that i bought specifically to turn the sandbed over in a large FOWLR system I had. That little fish completely wiped out all life in the sandbed then just started getting thinner and thinner. I ended up taking him into the LFS so they could try to find a home for him.

+1. When I have had diamond gobies in the past they liked frozen mysis shrimp or brine shrimp. Try frozen and add a little bit of garlic with it to peak his interest. None of my fish like pellet or flake food.
