Does seem like ich. Unfortunately, there is no good treatment for fish with ich in a display tank. How many other fish do you have? What kind of tank do you have?

its a fowlr tank and i think i figured it out. as i have read online juvies need garlic in ther diet and they get ick when they dont. they also dont show the simptoms like scraching and rapid until it is to late. so my problem i gess is feeding. i am gona lower my salinaty to a 1.016 for two weeks. i know that is a good way.

Lowering the salinity to 1.016 for two weeks is not a "good way"

Ich is NOT a disease...so garlic in the diet just boosts the immune system, nothing more. They don't get ick if they don't have it....Ich is a parasite, and the salt looking dots are one stage of their life cycle.

You have to remove all fish from the display for 8 weeks for the parasite to die off without a host. (you need special instructions)...Beth can guide through what you need to do.

Garlic is a good natural supplement, but it won't kill ich. You have to treat the ich and you will need to treat all the fish. Hyposalinity is your best option.

I'm dealing with an ich out break myself didn't quarantine my latest arrivals and everyone became sick broke down my whole reef and removed all my fish 13 of them luckily have a 55 gal laying around put everyone in there and I'm going hit them with coppermine for 14 days that's what worked for me in the past also invested in good Uv sterilizer

A full quarantine treatment is 40 days especially when you have a ich outbreak, remember when you can't see the ich anymore it doesn't mean it's gone because when you see the white spots it means that it's pregnantI'm dealing with an ich out break myself didn't quarantine my latest arrivals and everyone became sick broke down my whole reef and removed all my fish 13 of them luckily have a 55 gal laying around put everyone in there and I'm going hit them with coppermine for 14 days that's what worked for me in the past also invested in good Uv sterilizer

Yea the cycle of the cupramine is 14 days usually does the trick but yes your right I do keep them in there for a full 30 days
Why do you say 40? Just to be safe?
