does anyone know whats wrong with my lion he wont eat and his fins are falling apart and on what fins he has left there is a white slime we have had him a long time in the same tank the only thing we have changed is where we get our di water

Hey, berry. Its best to stick to one thread otherwise we loose track of what is going on.
You are going to have to set up a hospital tank in order to treat this fish. It needs antibiotics. When you say the fins are "falling apart" what exactly does that mean? Are they stringy and coming off?

the fins fell apart in chucks and we lost him last night but i still need to know what it was so i can fix it if others start to have the same problem did not mean to use more then one forum just got impationt sorry.

Yes, if you have a few posts here and there, its hard to get the total picture of what is going on.
Sorry for the loss of your fish. At this point it would be hard to tell why he died. He may have developed a bacterial infection. I'd suggest doing a large water change at this point. What were you feeding the fish? What are your water readings?

beth sorry about all the postings i put most of info on the posting on sick lion. if it is pos.i would like to know how he would have gotten sick. how large of a water change i have a 100 gallon?
