helPPP! i bought a new 36 coralife aqualight n thy r gunna stop making the bulbs 4 it

so 2day i was sold a 36" coralife aqualight with 2x96 watt square pin bulbs after i was told they r stopped makin themm... n 1 of the bulbs is burned out what am i gunna do is there ne way to convert a straight pin bulb 2 a square pin bulb????help please

this guy at my lfs he said there gunna stop makin em soon because they r to expensive n it takes 2 much mercury to makem he said he tried 2 order them n they are discontinued as well as my fixture

I googled them and LOTS of places have them.....was he trying to get you to buy something else?

Go online...order what you need, and don't worry about it.....they will be around for a while I am sure
I have a Satellite dual that uses square pin, and BELIEVE ME I have NO worries

kk thanx meowzer ughh... i cant even trust my lfs to help meee...... so have u guys ever heard of a way to turn a straight pin to a square pin?

If you are handy you can rewire anything...but why bother. There are plenty of sraight and square pin bulbs. You can get whatever your unit needs. If it isn't broke don't fix it.

I don't know what the base style has to do with mercury content... any PC of the same size has the same amount of mercury.
I'm sure he was more than willing to sell you a fixture to replace yours too...
