We have a dutch aquatic system that is a 115 gallon. We need a protein skimmer however we haven't found one that will fit with the tank.. the tank was purchased years ago for Cichlads and we turned it into salt water over a yr ago...
We're in desperate need of some advice on what to get... we have gone all over town and can't seem to find something that will fit. Does anyone know about these or where we can get one??? Here are some pics below to give you an idea of what we're talking about.
Thanks!

It means that we have a DAS tank set up from 1996. We are trying to find a protein skimmer that will work with this tank. We have found several skimmers but none of them will work properly for this tank. We need one that hangs over...

Are you saying that you need one that hangs on the back? Most do hang on the back, but what I see in your pics is a gap, about 4-6 inches from the water line to the top of the tank. That may be a problem and maybe the problem that you are talking about??

so you are saying you never had a protein skimmer ? if so IMO the DAS saltwater setups came with a sump and that is where the protein skimmer was housed

Yes, one should have come with it. I was uneducated about the in's and out's back then. We have a small half-ass skimmer going but all corals are suffering.

ok this is my own personal opinion. you have a great size tank. no need to go half way now. research external overflow boxes, and install a sump/ refug under your tank.In the long run you and your tank inhabitants will be better served
