I'm working on populating my "wish list" for my 110 gallon..it looks so sad right now with just 4 small fish in it!
Besides the Chevron tang which is a "must have" item, I was looking at the Heniochus sp. of bannerfish. Does anyone have one in a reef here? I was curious as to exactly why they were considered to be "proceed with caution" around reefs. Do they nip at corals? zoas? Or are they incompatible with shrimp and other invertebrates? I see that the H. diphreutes is more compatible than the H. acuminatus...but again, why???
My LFS has no idea which species they have; all their charts say is Heniochus spp......which could be either. These buggers are almost mpossible to tell apart, unles there's some secret badge on their butts that I don't know about that says "I'm reef safe..."
Anyone have any thoughts?
