Agreed, but honestly you shouldn't have to use Photoshop to make a picture look good, it should be used for editing only. I would just go through your settings and mess primarily with your shutter. Also if you just bought your camera, from an outside stand point I would seriously suggest exchanging it. At the current moment I run the digital imaging department (Best Buy). From my knowledge, MOST not all, but most Fuji cameras use plastic lens; if it’s a fine pix I can almost assure you though that it’s plastic. Sony’s will give you a better lens, and so will Canons, not sure if you’re a fan or not, but Canons are the top rated point and shoot cameras. As far as SLR’s go, Canon and Nikon are pretty much equal, but Canons typically pull ahead, because they give you : image stabilizers, Enhanced colors, Auto focus. Plus they come standard with harder cases and glass lens. They are more expensive, but they are more expensive for a reason.
But again my mom has a Fiji camera and I can’t pull it away from her, as long as you’re happy with your camera then it’s worth every penny; I’m just giving inside out put being a fellow photographer.

This photo was taken at 2am using just moon light. Only thing photoshop was used for was to imput my name, and to change the color of the water in certin spots (it was yellow)
