Yeah this is getting old.

YOU MIGHT BE A FLORIDIAN IF:
You exhibit a slight twitch when introduced to anyone with the first names of Charley, Frances or Ivan.
Your freezer never has more than $20 worth of food in it any given time.
You're looking at paint swatches for the plywood on your windows,
to accent the house color.
You think of your hall closet/safe room as "cozy".
Your pool is more accurately described as
"framed in" than "screened in".
Your freezer in the garage now only has homemade ice in it.
You no longer worry about relatives visiting during the summer months.
You too haven't heard back from the insurance adjuster.
You now understand what that little "2% hurricane deductible"
phrase really means.
You were once proud of your 16" electric chain saw.
Your street has more than 3 "NO WAKE" signs posted.
You now own 5 large ice chests.
Your parrot can now say" hammered, pounded and hunker down".
You recognize people in line at the free ice, gas and plywood locations.
You stop what you're doing and clap and wave when you see
a convoy of power company trucks come down your street.
You're depressed when they don't stop.
You have the personal cell phone numbers of the managers for: plywood, roofing supplies and generators at Home Depot on your speed dialer.
You've spent more than $20 on "Tall white kitchen bags"
to make your own sand bags.
You're considering upgrading from a 16" to a 20" chainsaw.
You know what "Bar chain oil" is.
You're thinking of getting your wife the hardhat with the ear protector, face shield for Christmas.
You now think the $6000 whole house generator seems reasonable.
You look forward to discussions about the merits of
"cubed, block and dry ice".
Your therapist refers to your condition as "generator envy".
You fight the urge to put on your winter coat and wool cap and parade around in front of your picture window, when you finally get power and your neighbor across the street, with the noisy generator doesn't.
And finally you might be a Floridian if you ask your sister up
north to start saving the Sunday Real Estate classifieds.

Yeah, I've been thinking if this continues for the next few years like some predict, it might become a good time to buy a retirement property. By the time I'm ready for retirement, hopefully the hurricane cycle will be back to the low phase. I think the last heavy phase was in the 40s/50s?

But I ran my fish tanks on 12 volt rule pumps and everything survived!!! Hip Hip Hurray!!!:D

Thanks, I got all the lights on in both my reefs the 75g. and 46g. and the corals are slowly opening up. The temp stayed at 80 degrees in both tanks.:D

chris I bought a few diferent things from there each were a combo of toxic combo's (I explained that I waas brand new and really was driving there all the way from upper bucks as they had bioligists on staff (or so they say) the first was a combo of 4 diferent clowns (at their recomendation ) and the second was 2 tangs a caribean blue and a yellow "oh that is a good combo they will get along well" I was told in both instances they had had parisites (internal and external) this I didn't see on the yellow but asked why the blue was rubbing so and I was told that this was normal needless to say after being in seperate sick tanks (to big for them to be together ) they were introduced and the case of ick (just traeted and I thought cured) just exaserbated as they sliced one another to pieces before my verry eyes!! and the 3rd and final straw was bringing home 2 perks that I watched die in the bags before I ever got them home
I was just turning onto the n.e extension and had caled them and told them the fish were laboring verry hard and one had allready died the second one died within 10 minutes and the sob that Ispoke to told me to "go the rest of the way home and bring back a water sample" I love lancaster and go often and do buy some supplies from there but I hate the people at the fish room and the fact that they continually lied to me not to mention that the disease ran rampid in the display tank and I had to tear it down
well that is my sogga and I almost gave up on salt water all together and went shopping for a boa or a few iguannas but the feather dusters didn't die and bang talked me through as well as a hand full of others and now I still hope I never kill anything again! (unrealistic but I still love my critters
a huge thumbs up to the guys at the hidden reef ...if they don't know the answer they say so and the advice is 100% good!!! well that was my sagga and although I lost alot of time I learned alot as well and out of desperation found you guys (and burned the antiquated salt h20 fish books I bought that just contradicted eeach other any way!
geeze I don't think I will ever learn to write a short post)
or spell/type
