20" Rainbow on a 5wt fly rod should be everybody's favorite fish

I caught this 20" bow and two 19" over the weekend, plus a ton of smaller ones

thanks guys...I fish this lake a lot but never in a boat, I'm a float tuber. The boat was nice beause you could have a few beers and not have to kick in to take a leak.
Its a cool lake because after Aug 1st its catch n release only and you CAN keep two fish over 18"..we kept this 20" fish for dinner last night...
here's one of the 19's

Crowley Lake is in the Owens valley along the eastern Sierras. Its THEY most Nutrient lake in the area, maybe Calif and supports a huge amount of fish both wild and planted. Its what we call here a "Put N Grow" lake. About 1/2 to 3/4 million fish are planted after 8/01...Cutthroat trout and 3 different strains of Rainbows..Plus they have German Browns (not planted any more) up too 25 pounds
Its also a main part of the Los Angeles Aqua Duct system (that's why I didn't mind peeing in it)
The water looks dirty but is really not. Every now and then they get a huge alage bloom that turn the lake a nice greenish color. It has no effect on the fishing other then to keep the water skiers and Jet skis off the lake.

Wow 4 pound tippet is light stuff I use 30lb. tippet for that snook I caught there is a lot of structure here though specially were I was fishing there was tons of piles with barnicles and oysters. Saltwater and freshwater are 2 totally different games.

You think that's dirty?! You should see some of the lakes around st. louis. Not to mention the Mississippi. Sometimes you can't see more than a couple of inches deep.
