Todd, I think the rule is something like 3-5 watts per gallon. So if you have a 125g, you're looking at 375w at least. You're a little short on your wattage. But hey, what do I know!

lol, thats for sure!!! j/kiddin!! ive been thinkin about getting stronger lights, if my tank was deeper i def. would, but its done really well on what i have???? but once again ,y lfs isnt too bright about this stuff, and there the ones who told me how much light i needed. ill probly go up a little at a time, as my current lights go bad, any other suggestions, from anyone???? todd

What lfs do you go to?
The problem with your lights is that they don't penetrate the water very well.
How deep is your tank?

its about 2 to 2 and 1/2 foot, not exactly sure. ill measure it for ya later, but i know its between those 2 numbers Todd

and the lfs, is called Maw and Paws, its in Ardmore, there rally nice, snd they know some of the stuff, but ive leared a ton on here! Todd

Your tank is pretty deep, and if I were you I would put some metal halides on the tank. I love metal halides!:yes:
