Hermit crabs/Urchin question pics

Are these hermit crabs reef safe / coral safe? Will thay eat the nice purple algae they are all about 3 inches long... here are some pics
and will this spiny sea urchin eat my purple algae and reef/corals????

yes they are reef safe but if the coral is not glued down they will knock it over. The urchin is also reef safe. The Hrmits will get big also so plan on buying some shells so they can move. I have a Hermit like your first and a Long Black spiny urchin in my reef take.

How do the hermits do in a fish only tank? Should they be introduced after the cycle? Do they have special feeding requirements or are scavengers?

THey do fine as long as like stated earlier"They are not Invert Eaters". Your Inverts should be introduced after the cycle. Depends on the invert, Hermits should just eat what is at the bottom of the tank and on the LR.
