Hermit Crabs

Yesterday I bought three hermit crabs. I put them in my tank and two of them haven't moved. The third disappeared behind a rock and I havent seen him since. Is this usual behavior?

My hermit crabs will stay in one spot for a couple of days. The rest hide in the lr, they come out at night. When they do their molting they will not move at least a week.

What kind of crabs? My blue leg and left handeds are active most of the day but my scarlets tend to hide or rest during the day and become active in the evening.

These are small red legged hermit crabs. Put them in last night and they haven't moved since.

New setting for them. If the don't move in 2-3 days then you have a problem.

I agree with b_ball, just watch them for anotheer day or two. scarlet reef hermits tend to be more active at night anyhow.
