i noticed this and LOL... my scarlet hermit is sporting a feather duster in his shell .... LOL

What a coincidence! I picked up some scarlets last week and one of mine is wearing a feather duster as well. I've been trying to get a pic, but the little bugger won't cooperate! Guess you beat me to the punch

This is really odd...I too have a scarlet with a feather duster in his shell. I wonder if this is something that happens often in nature? Anyone know if this is common?

I got a decorator crab from swf.com. I thought it would be interesting to see what different things he puts on his back. The first, and only, thing he has put on his back is some zoos that I have in my tank. He even got hair algae on him, but I cleared that up in my tank and also on the crab. I know this is different from your situation, but I thought you might like to hear about this as well.
