I had four rather small hermit crabs in my tank the shells appear to be empty now, Would my Dragon Wrasse eat them? Or could I possibly have another predator that I'm not seeing. Fish: Flame Angel, Coris wrasse, Dragon Wrasse, Maroon Clown, Small Hawk fish, Also have a Banded Coral shrimp he's ok. If I had a hidden Mantis Shrimp could he be the muncher?

it is the coral banded that is doing the dirty work...... depends on how big he is because of th way he hunts... [

Did you see assorted pieces of the crabs? usually legs will last a while in the tank. If you see leg pieces or intact legs, then maybe they died becasue there are no other shells for them to use as they grow. Remember if you keep hermits they need larger shell that they can grow into. But if there is no hermit pieces then I would say the coral banded might be the culprit. Because if he did eat them or someone else= no hermit pieces, becasue of digestion.
