Hermits which one

Red leg vs blue leg? which one is better? Or is there another type that you prefer?

I don't think theres much of a differance.

I saw more murder going on with both of these and slowly switched out all untill I have only the reef scarlet's. IMO they are pretty and peaceful.

i got Scarlets, Blue and Electric Blue hermits. They all get along.

I have tried scarlets..and used to think they were the best. Until they got big and one reached out and snapped my pipefish in half. Bluelegs do like to squabble. Electric blues and halloweens are awesome, but do get big. Zebras can be a little aggreessive too. I have found that mexican redlegged hermits are the most social of the bunch. Each day they go about their business, and every night they climb together onto a coral or rock to rest together like a family. All crabs are still a risk, because they are crabs.

blue hermets vs red. the classic battle. locally i find the blue are cheaper, and move around more, thus picking more ---- up.

I got some albino hermits, they are pretty nice change from the little blue legs.

I think the scarlets are lazy. Mine only come out at night and they don't seem to do much.

If you have them mixed with other types such as bluelegs I have found this to be true too.

my bluelegs do a great job of keeping the tank clean

I am in getting ready to set up a 90g reef. The only hermits going in there are scarlets.
