hermits?

How many hermits should i put in my 12 i have 5 is that good enough. Because i have algea all over my sandbed.

Your not feeding them are you? If not they will start cleaning soon enough. A couple of nassarius snails may help also. If you really want your LS cleaned up look into getting a Diamond Goby, not the best look fish but I bought one last week and it has completly cleaned my CC in my 46 gal.
