There is no need for an argument here. If sharkboy13 wants to inform the members about herpotology, then he by all means has the right to do so. If you do not want to read it, there are hundreds of other posts that you can respond to. As long as he is following the message board's rules, he has that right to post whatever he wants. Sharkboy13 was not degrading or arguing with anyone, posting links to outside websites, or being rude in anyway. Sharkboy13 can talk about snakes as much as he wants in the Aquarium forum, just like SugarFox can talk about pitbulls, and everyone else can talk about whatever else is on their mind, such as football, Grey's Anatomy, their new car, etc. If you do not want to read a certain post, simply do not read it. There is no need to post rude remarks or try to bully someone because of their age. Sharkboy13 is a lot younger than me and I bet he knows a ton more about herpotology than I do. I commend sharkboy13 for wanting to share his knowledge and experience with the other users of the forum.

I agree, iguanas are very tempramental animals. One of my employees has a 4 footer that is hers and hers alone. The iguana has the spare bedroom to herself and will only let "mommy" in. The husband and daughter get aggro'd if they come in to her house! When iguana comes out to play she is perfectly nice, but don't go in "her" room... When she is gravid (like being in heat) she gets very moody-her mom came in to work with a loooong scratch down her arm the other day because she picked iguana up when she didn't want to be held! I also had a friend in HS who had a big guy who swam in their pool & walked on a leash- most laid-back iggy I've ever seen, but a mean tail!

I have a columbian red tail boa who is 3ft long now and will be around 7-10ft full grown. But she is a sweet heart because she is handled alot.
Im getting a sulcata tortoise in a month or two who will get about 3 ft in diameter. They are wicked cool because when they are large like that and are treated well they have a personality of a dog (and dig mad holes like them too lol)

This is a story more the less but, my friends dad is a zoologist and his mom is a vet at the zoo (I wonder how they met) and so they run a reptile rescue out of their home. They have 4 Diamond back rattlers, a gila monster ( was ran over by a motorcycle and is missing a leg, 30 some adult tortises which roam in his backyard...sidewinders,pythons,a cobra and many more. He has licenses for these because his house could be viewed as a medical clinic. His house is about 4,000sq ft and 3,000 of that is all terrariums and that sort of thing. Next time I'm at his house I will definately take some pics for you guys.

he doesn't do anything like that...he gets the better and than gives them to either a zoo or they get released back into the wild if they can. His Gila Monster is actually really friendly he holds it and everything. It's awesome. His tortoises are also like big dogs...they have to keep their back door closed or they will come inside and eat the dogs food
