how well can a hermit crab live in a tank?
i have notice losing couple of hermit. especially me scarlet hermit.
do they need empty shell?

Yes they do. But do you have any blue legged hermits??? They will kill pretty much anything else in a shell. And hijack there shell. Either way goodluck!

I personally find scarlets to be a bit more fragile than blue legged... did you acclimate them correctly when adding them to your tank?

I bought a package from swf.com
i have 20 blue legs
20 scarlet
now i think i only have 15 blue legs and 3 scarlet
I was thinking not enough shell for them!

You also might be losing them to fish depending on what kind you have.
