I have 2 pincushin urchins that do this too, I had one carry a cleaner clam around for about a week, the clam died but the urchin still lugs his shell around, I'll see if I can get a pic.

Here is the pics I have 2 of these urchins one is green the other is white i dont know why. They are always carry stuff around shells, snail, crabs, plants anything they can get ahold of.
