Hey all, Long time no see.
Let me catch you up .
Had several old tanks. Got the new 125 that has been sitting for a better part of 1+ years that I am now getting around to.
(Just when you think you know it all)
I need a check list from you all if you don't mind. I ll let you know what I do have you can let me know what you think I need.
And last and not least Cleaning advice.
So here we go
old tank is a 55g. Now I am not happy with it due to all the old problems I have had with it so I will not be Reusing the water that is in it.
I will however use the rocks. Now how can I clean them with all the Corals on them?
Now for the other issues.
1st from my old post here are the tank Dimensions.
All Mesurments are taken from the outside of the glass
L 60"
w 18 1/4"
h 16"
Glass Thickness. 1/4"
The tank can be found in my old post Here
This part is for the Check list part
Now then I went with 2 20lbs bags of CC for the very bottom layer of the sand bed I then got 5 more bags of Live sand
Suger grain style for the top layer of the sand bed.
I have 60lbs of LR that i will reuse from the 55g. and Plan on making another 80lbs of LR from
CC and Concrete. (CURING IS TAKING FOREVER)
I have Two New Koralia # 2 600gph Pumps/Powerheads and
I have a (and Please dont yell at me I needed to cut back somewhere) Jebo Skimmer The Big 1
that is rated for a 500g (doubtful) but should do alright till I can get a Octopus.
I have the 55g that I will use as an overflow/refuge.
1000gph pump for the 55 to Main tank. I will make the lines adjustable as the 55 will be in the basement and the main on
the firs floor.
Overflow is built in to the tank.
What else do I need for cycling besides a cleanup crew?

Are these dimensions of the old tank (55 gallons) or of the new tank (125 gallons), or they for a different tank (120 gallons)?
Just observation as these dimensions yield an aproximate size tank of 72-75 gallons.

That is for the 120g But Looking at it. I think I misplaced some numbers. i know for a fact the tank is 120. I Might have put some of my 55 G measurements in to it.

On a side note. How many more of the Koralia's should I need for this tank. I know I want good flow for some of the Corals. But I also want Low flow in other areas for the other 1s. Ar these 2 going to be good enough?
Also Im playing around with the Idea to have my return from the Sump split off in to 2 smaller pipes and have the returns on either end of the tank. Im thinking I would Like to make them a wave maker. Has anyone done this with the return pumps? Look at the simple Pic and let me know what I can use.
