Hey bang, im thinking of starting to breed clownfish in the near future being that my clownfish finally began spawning. So i found this kit online and it includes the following, tell me if you think this is good and if you would recomend anything else. Thanks.
MAXI CULTURE KIT™
FOR MICROALGAE AND ROTIFERS For beginning or teaching purposes we have assembled our plankton culture products and associated hardware into a complete starter kit. Kit includes; Plankton Culture Manual™, 4 Micro Algae Disks ( Nanochloropsus), 2 Resting Rotifer Eggs (specify fresh or saltwater), 2 Roti-Rich (6 oz bottles), 1 Micro Algae Grow (6 oz bottle), 6 glass-bead airstones, 6 plastic metering valves, 6 pre-cut rigid tubes, 10 feet airline, 10X magnifier, Plankton Collector, and Microalgae Density Measurer. You provide culture vessels, lights, and air pump. Specify fresh or saltwater rotifers.
It costs 103.50, is it worth it?

Light can be regular flourescent. Old PC bulbs are also good if you want to buy someones used ballast.
I didn't go the phyto culture route so I'm not a good resource for that. I bought my live phyto in a concentrated form from Instant Algae. Avoid the cryopaste IMO. I think the filler they use in the cryopaste causes bacterial blooms in the Rotifer culture.
