How much VHO do you have over your 10?
i made this hood with 18in coralife 15watt bulbs and moonlights
(2 10,000k and 1 actinic in the middle)
Is this enough to start coral growth? or should i add another light
I also would like to hear more about the limewater if you feel like explaining it

can you explain how you made that hood? I would like to do something similar with my 25 gallon.

Sorry I missed your post
I used plywood (1/2 inch) cut to size to fit 10 gallon tank
Then just broke up stock hoods and used the ballast and whole setup from there (used 3 of these hoods)
Mounted all this onto hood and then built sides and such so it’s a canopy
I bought the flashing (reflector) from Lowes. Its still unfinished I done with all wiring and just completed moonlights so now its time to paint it and make it look like my DIY 55 stand and canopy
It looks rigged and it kind of is but no one will see it and it was free for me to do

If thoughs are 3 (15) watt bulbs then thats normal output you can keep stuff like polyps and shrooms mabey zoos but thats about it.
