Ok, I measured the old drain and it's about 1 1/2". The new cpr I'm not sure about yet. On the site it say 3/4" bulkhead, is that the drain you're talking about?

I just looked and the demin. on the sump are, 20"L x 9"D x 16"H. Is that going to be big enough????? :notsure:

well that changes things alot....
1.5" drain will run you 1300 gph down to wet/dry
you need to make sure you get 1300 gph back up to the tank
a mag 7 wont cut it...your probably needing 18....i'll go do some calcs...
be back later...have to go pickup new tank....

You'll never get 1200 gph through that sump w/o major bubbles. Trust me I know I have a sump that size with a dp800 return That I have to throddle back. There's just not enough room for the Micros to disapate before hitting the return pump.
Its a good thing that you'll have a bigger drain, But I would stick to 1-1.25" drain and the mag 7. Go with the CL with a 9.5 and call it good. Is the old OF a U-tube? I would just stick with that and send back the CPR.

The old OF does have a u tube and return jet, so I use the mag 7 on it. Now the CL, how exactly do I set it up? And what's a "9.5" a return pump? Sorry I'm new to this. I always had hob stuff.

Well first lets get the old box figured out. You said it 6T x 4W x ? D. You should have an inner box w/teeth and an outter box with the drain hole in the bottom. right?
Should look something like this....

No, I was poking in the box of old parts and found out that it was the prefilter that I told you guys about. I found the over flow it 6" L x 3 3/4 W x 5" deep. I'm dump I know

All of my stuff just got here. I'll check it all out and get back to you guys in a minute. :cheer:

i think if you you only have a single 300gph u-tube use the mag 5 for a return youll be allright with flow the mag 7 should be used with a closed loop Tim i dont have a picture could you post a picture of the Closed loop that you dont drill the tank for....if you can find one...i'll go looking but no qarentees

Do you guys think the lighting will be good enough for my corals? ( poylps, mushrooms, zoos, and maybe an anmeone for my clown ) I have an ARO 440w ballast to go with the bulbs in the pic. The bulbs are 110w each.

I had that OF but mine was a 1200. that will handle 600 gph! Soak in white vinegar and water for a day or 2 and it will sparkle! We can mod that OF to work just fine w/ a durso or stockman standpipe. Not the best but it will work. Should have a 1" drain ID on it and a 1" u-tube ID. That should be great for the mag 7.
So you 4 - 110 VHO? Should be fine for softies and some LPS. Don't know about an anmeone though?
Coach, don't have a CL pic, but I saw a nice one just yesterday I think. I'd draw one up but I gotta pack, I'm outta here for a few days. If I have time I'll hit it later on.
