Yup...if they are not happy they can pack up and move out. Sometimes they'll find a place more to their liking and re-establish....sometimes they are just a lost cause. I've had a few up and leave.

I had one do this also, I seen the worm go under a rock and that was months ago. Still trying to have faith that it is gonna show up, but still not sure---cleanup crew may of found it (most likely) cause no jumps in parameters. As for what causes this---stress from a tankmate, water parameter (any sudden changes?), etc.

Mine packed up and left and I never seen it again. I was doing a lot of rearranging, tank swap, etc. and

ok thanks alot for info......yea it is moving over the bottom of tank heading for the rocks

Mine did that and it crawled into a shallow cave. For a couple weeks we could see it building a new tube using sand. Then one morning it was laying there with a chunk out of it.
