im trying to figure out if i should get a nano saltwater fishtank or a tropical fish tanks i love the saltwater because the fish corals and others are beautiful but i also want a freshwater tropical fish tank becasue im am somewhat new to the hobby and i know that the freshwater is easier than the saltwater i also know that the saltwater tanks have to have
ammonia at 0 nitrates at 0 and nitrites at 0 and salinity at 1.025 and how to acclimate them to the water
i dont know how to lower nitrates, ammonia, nitrites if they get to high or higher/slower salinity any tips for a begginer and i was thinking a 20 gallon

First get yourself some books (the library is a good resource) and read first. My opinion small tanks are harder then large tanks, because changes happen faster in small tanks. Salt water fish need a constant environment to survive. A 55gal is good starter tank with a 20gal sump. Start with some beginner fish (SWF has a section called beginner fish) after you keep them alive form a year then venture into corals. Your best investment will be a 10gal quarantine tank.
