I just mixed a new batch of water and tested.
SG 1.025
Alk 12.2
Calcium 450
It is a new tub of salt. Reef Crystals. How can I bring the Alk down or do I even need to?

I use reef crystals and my alk is usually around 7 after a change and I add seachem's alk powder to bump it up some.

10-4. And calcium is usually around 350-400. Defintely not 450. Spartan, are you mixing with ro/di, or tap?

Using Salifert test kits after new saltwater has been mixing for a few days to a week. For a reef I've read that calcium of 450 is ideal.
