OK...I have 3 250W metal halides (14k Phoenix) and 8 T5HO lights over my 225G
I have a lot of TOP space and such that I would like to put some corals on......What are some good corals that can be at the upper top part of this tank????

I recommend montipora, they color up real good under high light and are very forgiving. There are so many types and colors to choose from. Just of course acclimate everything to light. A nice colony of monti cap looks real good in a large tank IMO.

How about some ORA red planet. How about yellow scroll. Tabling acropora. Millipora look good. If you want that kind of more sensitive corals. I think your light should be great for those in the top half. I personally like birds nest, but I am not sure what you mean by flow. How about hydnophora, although it is very aggressive and needs to be away from other corals, about a 5 inch cushion to be safe.

i come here and i see you want high lighting corals, the ones being mentioned are actually on the lower end of sps. im assuming the depth u have is about 24". for the top upper part of the tank i would choose sps that require tons of lighting
acropora valida
acropora secale
acropora tenius
acropora humilis
acropora rosaria
acropora macrostoma
acropora sarmentosa
acropora plana
acropora carduus
theres just so many more, pm me and ill send you a link to get the info

When I say flow...I mean things that actually move....
OKAY Nike.....I just order a pink chalice frag, an Elkhorn Montipora and an Acropora Purple nana....
My tank is 30" total depth, and when I say UPPER...I mean 12" and up....
PM to be sent :)

Things that move, green star polyps, hammer coral, frog spawn, whisker coral, elegance, torch coral. Some of those might not do well with too much flow or too much light.

Looking for some movement out of SPS try some of the Acropora millepora sp. .
Will get nice and fuzzy and "flow" in the breeze, so to speak.
