high Nitrate ?

Correct me if im wrong but, i was told that you should do about a 10%-20% water change after u get things correct about every month or so, depending on how crowded your tank is to avoid a problem like this.

I took you guy's advise and i took all my bio-balls out today. I have had a small nitrate problem and my skimmer has been working really well, So i cleaned all my filter pads and but as much live rock as i could in the area where the bio-balls where, well see if in a couple weeks i see a difference and can get my water quality in tip top condition:happy:

There is no hard-set rules for water changes...mostly personal preference...many will say that a smaller, more often change is better then a larger, less often...I prefer to do 15-20% about 2-3 weeks myself.
