High Tank Temp Help

I am just cycling a corner 92. I have 250 MH and 4 X 75 VHO retro on it. When I ordered the stand and hood, I asked for a 12 inch canopy, they delivered a 9-10 inch. I just put in 2 fans but I think the best I can keep it at is about 81-82. Does any one know if that extra 2 inches might make the 2 degrees difference I need? I have the fans sucking out hot air? ANy ideas or comments are most welcomed! :notsure: :notsure:

81-82 is fine. Just go for consistancy. Some reefs actually get up to 88! My tank runs 79 at night and 81 through out the day.

try having one fan blow in and one suck out, to create a tunnel effect for the fixture. it might help, im not too sure though..

just a quick question, my tank goes from 81 at night and 83 when the mh's are on, you think that changing temp will effect any corals (specificly when i get into sps's)

no. you should be fine. make sure you have a lot of surface movement to increase oxygen levels.
