Hippo Behavior

Recently I noticed my hippo has started moving around empty shells with his mouth. I have never seen this or heard of them doing this, is this strange behavior? He is in a 125 gallon tank and his tank mates are an achilles, 2 perc clowns, yellow watchman and a mandarin. Just wanted to know if this is strange and I have had him for about 2.5 years now

Never seen that, would like to see a pick! BUT my hippo hangs out IN MY ANEMONE with my tomato clown, just hovering over the tentacles by a hair, I think hes playing with death.

I dont know if he picked that up from the goby, but yesterday I saw him do it twice when I was at home. If I so happend to have a camera and see him do it, ill snap a pic, but I just thought it was very strange!
